Shropshire Disc Golf is pleased to announce the launch of the BagTag League to add some more fun to both casual and tournament rounds.
Importantly, it will also serve as a fundraiser to help with the maintenance and improvement of existing courses, and to assist the development of disc golf in the area. The cost of the BagTag is £8, with the option to have it posted for £3. If you’re feeling generous, you can always make a donation to further help the cause.
If you would like to get your tag, head to the Sign-Up page where you can find all the details, with links to the rules and a sample of how the league will appear on the web site.
Once signed up and payment has been made, you will receive an email with how to login and update the tags. We’ve made this as straightforward as we can, with QR code links on the back of the tags, and a nice easy interface to update your tag or claim a new one.
BagTags will be assigned and issued the first week of September.
The posts for the ‘Red 9’ course at Mereside are installed and ready to play!
This course is aimed at providing an introduction to disc golf for new players and family groups, with holes ranging from around 35m to 80m. More experienced players will still find the holes enough to challenge to their approach game.
If you’re brand new to the sport and don’t have discs, get in touch and we can arrange to meet you there. We have a wide range of golf discs that you can borrow for free.
It is recommended that you download the free UDisc to help you find your way round the course effectively.
