Mereside Disc Golf Course has 2 free-to-play courses on the east of Shrewsbury (Shropshire) set around a glacial mere.

Red Course:

9-hole short course suitable for beginners and families.
Hole distances from 35m – 80m.

Blue Course:

Challenging course with a mix of open holes and some tight shots through the woods.
Hole distances from 43m – 198m.

The course layout was redesigned in 2019 to avoid the areas of the park that are used more frequently by the public, which could result in long delays.  Whilst the new layout does have extensive fairway crossovers, it offers a more varied set of challenges and is perfect for experienced players looking for a casual round that will test their skills.

The course address is SY2 6LH where you will find a free car park next to the 1st tee of the Blue course.  The Red course starts in the treeline past the football pitches at the top of the park.

Signs are a work-in-progress and will hopefully be installed late 2021.

If you’re new to the game, or are a visiting player and would like a guide for the course,  drop us a line and and we’ll do our best to give you the tour!

Opening Times

The park is open for play 24/7/365.

Weekends and evenings can get busy with members of the public using other facilities on the park, and dog walkers frequently use the area.

There is usually a match from 10:00 on the football pitches during the season on Sunday morning which can impact play on the Blue course.

Mereside is a public park – Please exercise caution when playing. Place a spotter to give good visibility of the fairway to minimise risks. there are notes on the hole maps to give guidance for spotters.
